Welcome. By using Synthetic Personas (the "service") you agree to these terms. Please read them — they're short.

What this is

The service is a simulated world of fictional, census-grounded characters. The personas are not real people. Anything they "say" is generated by an AI model and should not be treated as factual, professional, medical, legal, or financial advice. Don't make consequential decisions based on what a persona tells you.

Your account

You sign in with an email address. You're responsible for keeping access to your inbox secure. We don't use passwords; one-time links are sent to your email when you sign in. Don't share these links.

Acceptable use

Don't use the service to harass others, generate illegal content, attempt to extract or copy our system at scale, abuse free-tier credits, or impersonate real people. We may suspend accounts that do.

Payments

Pro is billed monthly via Stripe. Cancel anytime through the customer portal — your access continues until the end of the paid period. One-shot Packs are non-refundable except where required by law. Prices are in USD.

Refunds

If something is broken or you were charged in error, email support and we'll make it right. We use Stripe's refund tooling.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. We may also terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes

We may update these terms; the "last updated" date will reflect any change. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
